Er, in plainer language before someone reports gameplay gone wrong, my fiancée (Now wife) and I were married at 10am at Lake Tahoe, CA on August 12, 2006. Wife is currently smiling widely; the groom has been told he looks like someone just hit him upside the head with a board.
Pretty standard then, I’m told. ;)

Well, congratulations on your marriage then, I would say something witty, but the lack of red bean cakes stifles my brain. So congratulations is enough.

Thank you, and I would love to be with my wife, but the irony of our situation went back into force 6 days after we got married when I had to return to Japan to start the fall term and she had to return back to her university in the US to start HER fall term.
It was MUCH easier to seperate when we weren't married. :(

Again, omedetou!
Did you do the san-san-kudo, or was it all western?
Next time you're down Osaka way I'll teat you to a visit Juso Music, the place I've taken a number of friends for their bachelor parties - offer's good for a year after nuptuals... (Typo left in for humor. And searches for Juso Music are not work/school/parent safe!)

and I am assuming that the Grinning Wife is not holding said board?
Congratulations NERVUN. Did the day go as planned?
It actually did, much to our surprise and delight.
what did the bride and bridesmaids wear? whose drunken uncle made a fool of himself at the reception? where did you go for the honeymoon?
Bride wore a traditional western dress as Lake Tahoe has a lack of kimono-ya and the trained staff to help women into them. Bridesmaids wore an apple colored dress.
And no drunken uncle, though my step-father carried out his threat to arive at the wedding on his Harley, in his tux.
And we had a chibi-honeymoon at Monterey, CA.
Again, omedetou!

All western, through we did bring in some good sake for the father of the bride toast. She wanted to show off a traditional western wedding to her family and to have one herself.
Which led to some interesting times at time.
And I'm not going anywhere near Osaka for a while. It's hot as hell in Nagano, I about melted when I got off the train in Ueno, and I KNOW Osaka is worse. I'll let you par broil by yourself. ;)
Ahh, sorry for being unintentionally a pain.
'Tis ok, Kat. We knew this was coming and we already had two years of being on the oposet sides of the planet, and, hopefully, this will be the last time.
Congrats!
and I am assuming that the Grinning Wife is not holding said board?
Not yet, but give her time. ;)
