I live in Ohio and have all my life. I was born in Columbus, lived here until I was 11, when I moved to the northwest end of Akron in the early spring of 1996. I moved back to Columbus in mid 2004 and I plan on staying here for a while.
I've arrived at the rather interesting conclustion that while I hate Ohio and I think it's boring [I'm even a Michigan fan], I really like the city of Columbus.

Ohio's a myth. You can't prove it exists!
Who cares about Ohio, what about Wyoming? That place can't be real.
I like Ohio though. Columbus is nice.

Ohio, is much like Michigan...except for Ohio has much more of two things:
Cows, and cops.
U.S 33 is the perfect route to see either.
Toledo is nice...like Detroit, with less urban decay.
and of course...Ohio is addicted to roller-coasters.

I live in Ohio. First chance I get, I'm moving to the Southwest. If I have to arrange job transfers for myself and my fiancee, and I have to arrange for her mom (who's coming with us, damnit, because my fiancee insists and I do too) to either retire or locate a job wherever. She's pushing for Santa Fe (I'm sure it's beautiful but is it dynamic enough?) and I prefer Phoenix (more stuff, but maybe too commercial.)
I'll settle for anything at this point. Hell, I'll move to Seattle. I can't take it here much longer in this state.
I was born in California but I have lived in Ohio virtually my whole life. Mostly in and around the Cleveland area, but I moved to Columbus around six years ago. As far as cities go, Columbus is one of my favorites.

Columbus has virtually nothing to do. What is there that attracts people to this city? Seriously. There is nothing here. People tell me they came to Columbus from other places and I instantly think, "Why the hell would you come here?" You live here because you were born here, not because you choose it after having been exposed to other things.
OK, it's cheap. I'll give it that. That's about it, though. And Columbus does have a pretty awesome mayor. Beyond that, our governor's a convict, the guy who's going to replace him is in Bush's back pocket, and we're the state that came up with this gem of an idea to punish drunk drivers - differently-colored license plates. Oh sure, that's really going to prevent someone from getting run over by a drunk driver IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. Why not just do the sensible thing and throw them in jail for a long time? Sheeeeesh.

I move in on Sept. 17. Can't wait to see the new RPAC and see a game.
Oh, and I'm from Ohio. I grew up in Mason in Warren County, about 20 mi from Cincinnati...I lived only a couple miles from Kings' Island (I used to go to the movie theater right next to the park when I lived there). I've lived in Mentor since 2001 and graduated MHS this June. Can't wait to move back to southern Ohio; I love the area and how fast it's growing.

The RPAC is a truly awesome facility, I try to go four or five times a week. And a football game is incomparable.
What building are you living in come autumn quarter?

Hopefully Taylor. I got in the Honors program so I can live in that building. I chose it because it's close to the business school and it's got air conditioning; private bathrooms are also a plus. The stadium's right down the road from the building along with RPAC, so those are also a bonus.

Also, does anyone call Wright Patterson "Right Pitiful Air Patch?" :p
I'm from Ohio, but currently live in NC.
I currently live in a section of Ohio that no one cares about. Need a hint?
It's not the Toledo corner...
It's not the Cinninatti-Dayton corner...
It's not the Cleveland corner...
It's not Columbus area either...
Give up?! It's Appalachian Ohio! Horray for cancer! Horray for crippling poverty! Horray for the Uranium enrichment plant! ...

Ohio pwns Michigan. And most of the population of Ohio will one day live in NC at one point in their lives, especially if they are from the Dayton area. LOL, my family is from Dayton, and everytime we meet somebody who is from Ohio they happen to be from Dayton too! :p

Ironically, I was born in North Carolina but moved to Ohio before I was 1 year old. My parents came from Pennsylvania...
