Well this has been a crap-tastic day

Well, this has been one of the crappiest day for me. Last night I found out that Liz was cheating on me, so there goes that relationship, not that it matters anyways, she's never around, so meh, not much to get upset about either. I also pissed off one of my friends, and we had a fight because I said some stupid things, so I messed that up, I've decided to give her a break from me since she was pissed off. I also got my GRE scores back, and I did crappy, so now I'm going to have to try to figure out another way to get into a graduate school. Why, because I picked a worthless BA of History. So, yea, this day has been crap-tastic. I think I'll go to Wal-Mart, get some hard liquor and just get hammered and forget this day.

Getting drunk is not going to solve your problems. Infact, it will make the problem worse. Just study for the GRE and take it again. It is not a one time thing. I am sorry that your gf cheated on you. That is not an easy thing to deal with. I will tell you though that there are plenty of fishes in the sea. As to your friend, try to patch things up. True friends will be able to.

Nah, I'm not going to take it again. They stopped all paper base test in the United States, so now all you have are computer test. Let me tell you something, those computer test are tough because each question gets harder and harder, and if you screw one up, then your scores goes down. Getting hammered isn't stacked against you like that. But at least I'll do the responsible thing and drink at home.

My opinion is you should not drink at all. My other opinion is that you should take the GRE again. "If at first you don't succeed, try try again."

No, but sometimes depressed people need to get out of their heads for a while - or , sometimes things are so damnably bad that you just want to be passed out. Yep, it's not really great - but the alternative (sobriety) is no comfort whatsoever.
Get back to me someday when you've had the chance to lose every damn thing you care about, we'll see how sober you decide to remain.

...thats generally the way tests work...you get a question wrong, you lose points. And with all tests such as GRE or SAT, the questions get more difficult as you go. Thats kinda the point of them...
