I saw.... The Episode.

After the football game last night I was watching pieces of the Degrassi "Every Episode Ever" Marathon, and wound up staying up till around... 2 am. Why..? I saw The Episode We've Never Seen Before. Yep, "Accidents Will Happen". The one where Manny gets an abortion.

I've waited about a year and a half to see this episode. For those of you who don't know, the episode wasn't shown in the US because of the debate about abortion during the elections in 2004. I finally got to see it, and was kind of disappointed. Not at the fact that it wasn't a powerful episode; it was, but at the other characters' reactions. For Ellie and Paige it was gossip-fodder, for Liberty it was somethign to harass JT with, and Emma got mad at Manny for getting it because she was "killing the baby" even Emma's mother, Spike, had had Emma at 14 and supported Manny's decision (Manny too was 14 at that point). For Ashley it was just revenge to humiliate Craig (the father of the baby) and Manny. I hate Ashley anyways, she should have jumped off a bridge upon hearing the news.

I think you may be a little too emotionally involved with fictional lives of fictional people. *goes back to playing his video games, aware of the horrible irony*

Ah, it's Canadian telly! My apologies, Ms. Skye! Canadian tv has it all over the drivel we get south of the border.

I'd rather be castrated by rabid ferrets while being thrown from a cliff while on fire instead of watching Degrassi.

You waited a year and a half to watch a episode you could have downloaded within a week? Insane.
