Anyway just need help from people in the Northampton area. Could you give me the name of a hotel near the university. Its got to be cheap as I'm but a poor student and also any places I should check out while there.

I believe the best thing about Northampton, now the Roadmender has closed, is it's proximity to the M1, so you can get to better towns and cities...

I smite you all down with my mighty Northamptonian smityness! Northampton is the best town in the whole country, except all the others!

Anyways as far as hotels go, close to the Uni is a long shot but there are plenty of Travel Lodges and the such like

I'd say your best bet is trying one of the small hotels that are near the post office centre place (where postmen work whatever that is)

though there is a cheap hotel on gold street suppose that’s worth a look

I liked the Roadmender. Actually, I only really have fond memories of Northampton, as the only time I've been was to see Stiff Little Fingers at the RM and afterwards I got a free pizza. And wandered around Northampton in the freezing cold waiting for a coach.

Why on earth would you voluntarily stay in Northampton?

If you're considering studying at Northampton Uni, don't bother. It might be a good uni, but frankly the city is poo.

when i lived there i used to go to the goth pub at the town centre end of wellingborough road anf the metal club that i cant rember the name off hand the other side of the town hall
