MBTI: Myers Briggs Type Indicator

I just had a personality test done, called the Myers Briggs Type Indicaator personality test. My four letter code was INFP.

You can do a crappy quick little test here:http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html
If I find a better one I'll post it.

So, whos' had the test done? Did it match you? I want to guage what the standard NS thing is, so I will set up a poll, but the options will be a bit poor. sorry, you'll have to double up.

Poll much?

Or you could all just ignore this completely. I thought it was interesting...

INTP

might help gain some attention if you post a link to a test. There are a number of them out there.

I think the real question is whether there will be any E's. They seem rare enough as it is, and this is an internet forum, you'd think if we were E's we'd have lives.

INTP. But that was back in Sophomore year of HS, four years ago.

Yeah, that's a pretty poor link you have there. Not that I could find a better one.
When I did my Organisational Behaviour course at uni I did the full test and got the INTJ combination.

And yeah, we won't get many E's here.

Why? When we did this personality test last year for P.E, I was classed as having an 'Extreme Type A' personality.

Just because this is an internet forum revolving around relatively nerdy sort of topics. I'm not saying there won't be any extroverts here, there obviously are. But on the whole, I'd wager that most people on here will be rather introverted.

And all that has little if anything to do with Type A vs Type B personalities. But if people want to find out: http://www.psych.uncc.edu/pagoolka/TypeA-B-intro.html

I'm a 225, which puts me pretty much in the middle.

Hmm, true. Sorry I didn't really think. Was a little ignorant there haha. Silly type A ..

This test (http://similarminds.com/jung.html) says: ISTP
OP test says: INTP

The first test shows a very strong tendency toward I, T, and P. S/N however, is almost even. I don't buy the ISTP result, however, as an ISTP is supposed to be a risk-taker who enjoys skydiving, motorcycles, or other needlessly dangerous activities. This is basically my exact opposite.

I'm ISFJ.

The "I" isn't really all that clear cut, I'm really kinda in the middle between introvert and extravert, and as for the "J" - well, if I should ever actually happen to finish something on or even before a deadline, I'm going to come here and make a celebratory thread about it.

But man, am I ever "S" and "F". I think the "S" and "F" have been stalking me, 'cause they sure seem to know me. o.O

That one gave me INTP too.

"INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population."

Although Thinking/Feeling were almost 50/50.

Why does this thing give me different questions every time I click on it? o.O

ETA: Hmm, wait, they may just be in a different order each time. *ponders*

Given the systems analysis skills and general introversion of INTP's, I expect them to have an inexplicable majority (seeing as how, technically, they are a tiny minority) here, since we debate political systems so much. Plus, radicalism is considered to be the most likely political path that an INTP follows (mostly on the social libertarian/authoritarian scale), and we have those in spades.

Okay, according to Dissonant Cognition's test:

ESFJ.

Told ya about the E. :p And the J got to stay because this test didn't have a question about deadlines. :p

I'm an INTJ or an INFJ. It changes between the two each time I take it.

I am E/iNTP Borderline E/I, slightly in favour of the 'E'. The thing is, I hate people, but I love attention. What a combo. The need for attention pushes the otherwise introverted me into the E's.

I have taken a more comprehensive version of this test when I was in the military; I am ENTX.
X is the designation for any category you are exactly 50-50 in. In my case, I am exactly 50-50 in Judgment and Perception.

ISTP on both the OP's test and the one Dissonant Cognition posted. In the latter, though, I got 50% each for 'Sensing' and 'Intuitive', so it's a close call.

ISTP - "Engineer". Values freedom of action and following interests and impulses. Independent, concise in speech, master of tools. 5.4% of total population.

Got that on both tests. I and S were 59 and 55, respectively. T was 82.

i did it a while ago, i think i was an infp. i've done more accurate tests tho. i think the most accurate was the one that smunkeeville posted about recently although i'm not sure that one was supposed to be that serious.

Your type is: INFP

Introverted (I) 69.23% Extroverted (E) 30.77%
Intuitive (N) 51.22% Sensing (S) 48.78%
Feeling (F) 51.35% Thinking (T) 48.65%
Perceiving (P) 56.76% Judging (J) 43.24%

INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.

Why the particular pairings? In some of them, the iNtuitive-Sensing is different and everything else is the same, but in others the difference is Thinking-Feeling.

I personally am an INTP, though it depends on the test. The N and T are rock solid, but the E/I and P/J are both close to the middle.

Yah, I've had MBTI tests adminstered to me on a few different occasions, most recently by a friend who is psych student at Uni.

I'm an INFP.
