I was talking to a friend before about how I like to watch this German show..

And then it reminded me of things I've noticed..

Like compare CNN (USA) to CNN (intl), the USA one is flashy and lots of sounds and design, while the other is plain and un-cluttered.. or something.

Well my question to you is: Is American (USA, to those of you who like to nitpick..) tv uber flashy and fancy, while other countries have plain, casual tv programming?

And like always, am I making sense?

dunno. hard to say... the BBC seems to be more laid back than a lot of american TV, in terms of graphics and stuff yeah. but, more than that, when i was last in the states and watching TV in my hotel room, i felt like i was being shouted at and it all felt very aggressive and in-your-face (i mean voiceovers and continuity announcers and the like)

that said, Channel 4 over here feels like that sometimes too :P

short answer is: compared to british TV, probably

There is a CNN International?

That version is actually sort of watchable, seeing as many of the presenters aren't from the US.
