Just curious....I don't go there and am not sure I want to. I heard it was a scam and a massive joke, also that devry degrees are worthless and most employers just toss them. Is this true?

Yes. It's a scam, like community college but more expensive.

Why do you say that?

It's a joke.

You'd be better off sending your money to a Nigerian prince named mustaffah who will give you the keys to his kingdom.

AFAIK DeVry has similar problems to the one's I pointed out in your thread about ITT.

It's something you have to learn yourself, first hand.

You won't get a real engineering degree. Oh sure, they make out like it is, but it isn't. All they give you is an "engineering technology" degree. And you'll probably pay more than if you go to a real engineering school.

You can get that kind of thing from a community college for a lot less.

Also it has open enrollment - anyone can attend. Never a good sign.

Not that it matters, because most engineers have shit jobs anyway; even the ones that went to real schools.

Mainly it's accreditation problems, which many similar for-profit "educational" institutes have.

DeVry has ABET accreditation. Just not for anything worthwhile.
