Windows Question
When I hit Print Screen, where does Windows save the image to? I'm running XP Professional. My Start > Search hasn't been particularly helpful with finding screen captures.

It copies the image to the clip board, open up an image editor, create a new image and hit paste (Ctrl+v).
Even lowly MS Paint is adequate for this.
Hm. No wonder I couldn't find them.

nowhere. it goes to your clipboard like when you copy text... you gotta go to a program (like paint or photoshop) and paste it in there before you can save it :)

It saves it to the clip board so you can paste it back onto another document.
Edit: you can actually access the directory where the clip board stores it's information, im not sure where it is though.

Word or PowerPoint and even *shock* Excel!!
Well, I used GIMP to save the image. In case anyone is wondering, it's a shot of my main character in City of Villians.

There are some utilities that allow you to save those shots as jpgs or another format in a folder you choose. Very useful when you're in a game and want to take more than one screenshot but don't want to leave the game each time to go into paint and save it.
