... is that at nighttime, this forum is entirely dead. Which sucks, because I have the time to post at night, and not that often during the day.

Anyone care to commiserate?

Well, I have a night job, so I can post in the morning and early afternoon, and then late evening, when the Aussie posters are on.

But, night posting does have the upshot of not having DK and/or Corny around. Which is a very good thing.

Well, now that we're bored, let me ask something I've always wondered ... what is the deal with our titles? Are they chosen randomly, or are they specifically awarded due to the frequency or amount of our posts?

I'm currently a cybersheep farmer. W00t.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the total number of posts you've put in. But, I'm more interested in where on the left coast you live. I'm in the evergreen state. You?

EDIT: Sorry that took ten minutes, Jolt fart.

You get more 'foreigners' with the late night PS(D)T posting. Especially Australians. Since Max Himself is Australian I almost feel like it's more 'pure' NS posting to post with the Aussies.

And really, I live in California, if I wanted to know what Californians where up to I'd go outside (well, to be honest, I'm usually outside when I'm posting-the joy of living in a temperate climate). I want to hear from folk in time zones far far away. This is a good time to do that, but it can get a little slow.

But, as someone mentioned, the flag masturbaters aren't on as much in the wee hours, and that's a definite plus.

It's normally quiet here in the morning UK time, but there are still enough people on to keep it ticking over. I find it's much more social when there are fewer people about - it's hard to have an argument with yourself. Not better, but different. :)

Yeah, but for you cats you gotta stay up crazy late.

Not that it in't worth it, but it does carry the bitter reminder that I have nothing better to do at the moment but stay up late and hope that the Germans log on soon. (though, tonight that is not true, but for some reason I can't sleep.)

Yeah, but for you cats you gotta stay up crazy late. Well, there's always the possibilty of just having a normal sleep/wake rhythm and catching us during normal times - after all, our 8 pm is your 11 am.

But yeah, that would be way too square and stuff. :p

There is nothing like a nice strong coffee to compliment a nice strong puff.

Maybe karaoke and alcohol..

I'm having a cigar and a bowl. Life is moderately okay.

Hell no. Those are what we call "productive highs" where the Aunt Jamima bottle becomes a bong and you modify you old GI Joe and Star Wars weapon accessories to fit on your cat and then try and convince him to challenge the nieghborhood cats to duels for his honor.

Careful to achieve the right balance, however-otherwise you'll end up thinking things like, "Dude, what if we leave the syrup in the bottle?" and actually teaching the cat how to use the weapons so now it won't stop firing plastic missles at you until you've changed the litterbox and fill the food bowl.

Then you've accidently wandered into a 'counter-productive high.'

Not if you ask the cat, I'd bet.
