So David Beckham the frontman of the England squad has been....dropped. In this surprise move what do yu think the repercussions will be? Who will replace him?

Please be joking. Oh god please be joking! A german footballer cannot play for the england team. It can't happen. Anyway I think Aaron Lenno would be a good replacement

She actually has a successful, posh designer clothes label.

Why not? We've got Americans playing hockey alongside Canadians, and people from all over the world in Baseball and Basketball. Does it matter more where someone was born than what football team he plays for?

Well basically yes. To play for the England squad you have to be an english citizen. To play for say the USA team you have to be a US citizen. Its all about representing the country you were born/ are a citizen in.

You? Then you should have known about her label. It's in with the European glitterati, usually the lower royalty and their hangers-on.

FIFA rules prevent players to play for a different national team. Now, this is for the national teams only, you can play for whatever league team you want (although some leagues have limits on number of foreigners each team can align and things like that).
