Everything I Learned About World Politics

Deep Kimchi

I learned from Star Trek. Not the details, but the attitude towards dealing with others.

Entirely agree, as long as the "Sometimes" part is used, and not revert to "Always punching an alien in the face solve whatever problems you've got"

And I learned that Americans always resort to high tech weaponry to fight their battles...

Now that we have that out of the way, I'll be posting where I think some of the other people's views come from...

At least I have a sense of humor. All you can see in the world is "talking points".

If what you have is considered a sense of humor on the conservative side, then it's no wonder there's practically no conservative comics around.

I'm just wondering where you get this idea that there's an uberconspiracy of an army of drones who receive orders from Karl Rove every morning by email, and who then get on every forum in the world and start echoing Karl Rove's latest talking points.

Sorry, it doesn't happen. Maybe you need to start taking Seroquel, to reduce the paranoia and anxiety you're feeling.

I don't do talking points. And saying that's all I do is a really inane method of arguing back.

*thinks about numerous times when actual diplomacy has been carried out. By extension, thinks about Garak and that one DS9 episode where he blew up the Romulan. Does not comment after all, on account too busy thinking about Star Trek.*

Never claimed that there was an "uberconspiracy of an army of drones who recieve orders from Karl Rove every morning by email..." but there is a remarkable consistency between what you post on here pretty much daily and what comes out of the pieholes of the Fox News faces, Rush Limbaugh and the Dittoheads, and/or the right wing blogs.

Now that was funny. Much funnier than the Star Trek posters someone else made and you reposted without much in the way of commentary.

Not you in particular, but it's quite apparent that some do (and have admitted it in the past).

You know what really irritates me? The fact that you don't seem to have quite grasped the original Star Trek crew.

There was a Russian for Q's sake! Have you no idea what the Federation stands for!

Yes, the Garak distraction wore off.

Something tells me that Gregor Mendel wasn't a Russian, and Lysenko wasn't a geneticist.

Actually, it's really more of an improvised firearm. It's just really big due to the materials he had to use.

Furthermore, even I--a hardcore Trekkie--find Philosophy's comment amusing.
