What fun!

This, like any other evidence, won't convince creationists, of course. We could have live video of the evolution of life for the entire 4 billion years and they STILL wouldn't believe it.

Another example of speciation event is the blue whales. There are northern and southern hemisphere blue whales. Because of the migratory habits of the whales the groups no longer intermingle/mate. Some marine biologists believe that the two groups are becoming 2 different species.

Micro-evolution, isn't it?

Many creationists are okay with that.

"micro-evolution" and "macro-evolution" are misleading terms in that they seem to refer to different things. They do not. The two are the same thing viewed over small or large stretches of time.

Well, they have to be, cause they can't argue against it.

The only reason they argue against 'macro' evolution (which, let's face it, is the same bloody thing) is that they weren't there to see it happen.

Sort of like the child's idea that if you close your eyes, no-one can see you.

Quite.

Looking through the sciam site listed above, I couldn't help but notice this:
algae colonies (http://www.sciam.com/includes/gallery_pop.cfm?file=0008435E-16E0-147F-96E083414B7FFE87)
Underneath the cool pic, it tells us that some scientists have discovered how algae -co-ordinate their flagella-whipping, not only to help them move en masse, but it also helps stir up and concentrate nutrients for them. This allows these single-cell organisms to form huge colonies.
It goes on to say, "This new finding shows how the algae are able to feed, explaining a critical step in the evolution from single-cell to multi-celled organisms"
Well, well, well. How about that?

They do, but God just keeps creating more.
