The last two are FAKED, people. They were made by somebody on the CommercialsIHate forum (google it :P) as a joke.

The first one is real though, I saw it at the mall once. It annoyed me on that occasion as well. Somebody had vandalized when I was there again, Im not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing :P

So? The caption reads "think different." Rosa Parks was a civil rights protester, who thought very different from the society she lived in. So, since the caption matches the sentiment behind the image, you're objecting to the commercial use of a public-domain image?

do not mistake my answering your question to mean I believe it to be either right or wrong.

what Rosa Parks did was courageous, and it did challange a way of thinking. However, what does that have to do with Apple Computers? ever seen their comercials? while PC comercials never differenciated between Mac's and PC's theirs do, trying to protray the Mac as better than the PC. What's that got to do with Rosa Parks and the EQUALITY movement? nothing.

I think what people are finding offensive is the fact that Apple did use the image for commercial use. I agree with the ridiculous comment. Mainly just because it seems to be ridiculous for people to believe that corporations have any sort of ethics. Sure the claim to, but lets face it; if they think it will sell their product, they'll do it. I mean, companies are always estimating the cost of recalls versus the cost of law suits. Here we're just talking about an add, not a fiery death full of explosions, pain, maimage, and, my favorite, familial grief and torment. Now what irks you more, logos on Rosa Parks, or the latter scenario. Oh, and lots of corps have been using civil rights movements to promote products. Not a new thing.

A common OS X utility that removes the dock is called 'Dockblock' (for Mac users out there who don't love the dock ...).

I've had to write software for OS X ... and a system file that I've had to use to perform tasks at startup is called 'ttys' ... which I always think of as the 'titties' file.

Could be just my imagination, though.

They're not exactly the underdog in the MP3 player market are they? But yeah the reason I don't like Macs is that they are not user friendly... The psychology department at Uni uses them and the mice feel wrong, the screens give me eyestrain and they just annoy me... to be fair Microsoft PC's do this to me too! At least the latter two points anyways.

They're definitely not the underdog in the Publishing department, since that's pretty much the only computer magazines and newspapers use.

More advanced, eh? That's laughable, since the best Mac can't even hope to run the latest games. The CPU and GPU load is too heavy. Also, private companies are constantly developing new technologies for the PC. Ever heard of AMD, Intel, NVidia, ATI, and Creative?

And I dunno about easier to run, either. Every Mac I've used has crashed on me, even while running simple programs.
