That counts.
Definitely history, in equal measures because it was an interesting subject and we had a teacher who could make it interesting.
Economics and math.
(Of course, it makes sense given that I'm majoring in Finance.)

French. I'm doing a degree in it. I used to be a History major, but it's a bit difficult to find a job with such a degree.

I really liked all the subjects equally. If I take out any influences (like a bad teacher or a kick ass teacher) then I guess I just really liked Physics.
I go back to school in the fall, and in the absense of making a decision, I think I am going to get my teaching certificate.... LOL, I found out that you can get one here if you pass the test, no BA needed, but I think I want to go to school anyway, you know for fun ( since I don't plan on going back to work outside my house anyway)

oh, wait, when I went to school to be a counselor I had this elective in apologetics, it was cooler than physics any day.
I choose Law, as i guess its the closest to Poli Sci.

My favourite subjects at school were English, Politics and Spanish - the three I did for 'A' Level. Then went to university and did two degrees in Criminology, so I suppose I must find that subject alright as well.

Lunch. How can it not be the best? Eat, hang out with friends, and easily sneak out the back for a smoke. Then you just skip 3rd block and head to the 2nd lunch period and do it all over again. :D

Who needs lunch? The really long queues, nasty school dinners, yuck!!! I'd bring my pack lunch and spend half of my lunch hour practising hockey/netball/rounders with my teams, and the other half playing in the gym. It was just like PE, which was my favourite subject. Except for the once per week theory lesson, I was bad at biology anyway and having to learn the name of all the bones and muscles was just too much. The reason I decided to take PE at GCSE level was to avoid having to think. :(

Then how do you know when you are learning physics and when you are learning history?
Sounds like it would be hard to know when to be bored, and when to be playing games on your graphing calculator.

Back when I was in school they still taught the arts, so that was my favorite, especially performing arts. (actually, specifically. I know jack all about 'concrete arts;' hell, I don't even know that I used that term right...)
But it was producing too much free thought and expression and has been reduced to squelch dissent.
[/codgerly exaggeration of both past and present.]

That's funny. It always seems to me like they used to teach a lot more science, but it was reduced to squelch dissent. I guess what your rose tinted glasses see depends upon yr major eh?

Yeah, school food blows. But I don't normally eat lunch. See, ya gotta smuggle a bottle of orange juice mixed with vodka and chill outside. That's some nutrition for the day...right? Vitamin C? No? Eh, I'm rationalizing... :D

I guess, from the absence of Geography on the poll, that the OP is from the US.
When did Biology, Chemistry and Physics get mushed together into Science, and WTF is technology as a school subject?
I have to says Geography #1, Then English followed by Poilitics then history. Talking about Lunch. My school got rid of all the snack machines I tells ya to have them replaced with healthy foods. They're even getting rid of chips!! Thank god I'm a sixth former and cn go offsite any time. Theres a decent cornershop round on the corner, with the bes damn chippy in town. And McDonalds is only a ten minute walk away so I'm saved. But I feel sorry for the younger kids...

I'll agree with that, but in my opinion that list doesn'taccurately show the gap between the first 3 and the rest.
i will never stop studying tecnologies with or without the assisstance of educational resources as long as i am occupying a functional life form.
favorite subject, beyond the box of formal education, with or without its support would have to be environmentaly harmonious and sustainable infrastructure tecnologies, how to get those which are not replaced by/with them.
creating and exploring are what gratify and these are key to doing so.
studying the interaction plant and animal communities, AND tecnologies and physical tecnological infrastructure and how these interact with each other to optomise for sustainability.
also the study of what does and does not actualy gratify and how to make what the divesity of ways in which what does manifest universal.
again optomising for sustainability.
and i'm not talking about symbolic abstractions here, which are part of the problem because people get lost in them.
