Twenty-year old's Ali Howssaiky and Osama Abulhassan are facing charges of money laundering to aid terrorism. This comes after a traffic stop Tuesday led police to thousands of dollars in cash, several disposable cell phones and instructions of how to obtain private flight information. Police also found a list of flight passengers in the car.
"It also had information about airport checkpoints, and what would be accomplished there, so this is a little bit unusual," Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says.
Sheriff Mincks also says the disposable cell phones are especially important, because it appears their final destination was supposed to be overseas.
"They are digital and can be used to detonate car bombs," he says.

Well, considering NOBODY except those who are Muslim or Illegally here in this country has rights :headbang: , I'd advise you to keep such opinions to yourself (the gov't might lock you up for hate-speech...thoughtcrime is very baaad. Shhh.)

Digital means the signal, not the keys. Although you make a valid point, almost all cellphones nowadays can use a digital signal, at least in the US.

The US was one of the last nations to move to what are called all-digital cellphone networks.
It was only in the last few years that we got GSM phones, which had been in Europe for some time.
Even Sprint right now is still CDMA.

For a while there, some Third World countries had better coverage than even most European countries. They were popular in countries where land lines were absent.
The infrastructure for putting up cell phone towers is cheaper than running lines.
Then Europe went GSM, and the US already had CDMA networks up - it costs money to switch.

Someone should tell the sheriff that pretty much any electronic device with a timer can be used as a trigger. Cell phones, watches, hell a land line could be used if you had access to one that wasn't used.

All I know is that Sprint CDMA phones don't have GSM compatibility, and cannot accept a SIM card.

Yeah the CDMA is in the IS95 standard I think. Were they the old style triband phones? (not at all familiar with US cell phone tech...)
But I also thought GSM supported CDMA as well...and I could well be talking utter bollocks! LOL
