How awesome is the movie Fight Club?

it was good, but not awesome enough to have its own thread...

A Beautiful Mind did the whole schizophrenia thing better and without all of the unnecessary mutilation, but Fight Club was a decent watch nonetheless.

8 was the worst of all. actually no. jason goes to hell was the worst.

A Beautiful Mind did the whole schizophrenia thing better and without all of the unnecessary mutilation, but Fight Club was a decent watch nonetheless.

I figured out Fight club about 20 minutes in, after that my husband and I just watched all the other idiots in the theater try to figure it out. (but that's typical for most movies)

A Beautiful Mind, was better, at least we had some good post-movie discussion.

Overall, an excellent film, but I'll probably agree with Kamsaki that A Beautiful Mind was slightly better for its portrayal of schizophrenia. I did, however, enjoy Fight Club's gore bits, but just cos I'm a twisted git I suppose.

I don't see how it's overrated, I've only met 2 other people who've seen it.

I just think it's funnier (and I saw it first, so some of Lockstock's jokes seemed recycled to me...)

yes it is! its the best film ever imho. Awesome characterization and powerful deelpy resonant social commentary- the soul destroying effects of consumerism, elite approved lifestyles, the captivity of 9-5, the emptiness of hyper sanitized existence, and not forgetting the brilliant plot, the imagination of it all and the dust brothers soundtrack.

Actually still haven't seen Lock, Stock, but loved Snatch.

And, along those lines (sort of), I would highly recommend Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

Mindblowingly uberawesome. I love that movie.

I liked Fight Club and gave it an "awesome". The ordering of poll options seem to be a bit out of order, though, as the one below ("I'd watch it everyday") is certainly not a statement I'd sign... As for "five stars", an important rule to learn about my tv mag is that anything given 5 out of five stars is just boring. 4 of 5 is the best rating they give %-)
