The tic box apparantly helps allot with mouse lag.

Other ideas: Move the base closer to the mouse, make sure the reciever is in a usb 2.0 port, by a faster computer.

It may also be the surface you're using your mouse on. I've worn out the surface where I keep my mouse and it sometimes causes problems with my mouse.

The surface can't be translucent or have holes. That is about it now.

Things with weird reflective surfaces tend to screw with some of them (and not others) shiny things are bad as well as transparent

I hated my wireless mouse. The cursor was all over the place and I had to replace batteries constantly. Get a mouse with a wire.

Change the batteries. Or get a wired mouse.

At this time, commercial wireless technology affordable to the average consumer is simply not technologically advanced enough to truly be worthwhile for mice. In most instances, the cord is far more than sufficient length. I cannot recall a single time when a cord proved to be too short. I have occasionally had problems with it tangling and making it more difficult to move the mouse, but that is an easy problem to rectify.

Simply put: wireless mice, at this time, are not worth it. Period.

Good point. Until you get to the Logitc G7, it just isn't going to cut the mustard.

And the G7 is $99.99 US.

I've a Kensington Pocket mouse for my laptop... and it eats batteries at a rate of replacing them once a week or more. Other than that, it's fine. ;)

Try enegizer lithium batteries, they last forever in anything!

I have used Duracells, and am using Energizer Max, but they are alkaline batteries. Once I finish the package (there were 24 in there, should be another couple weeks ;) I'll give your suggestion a shot.
