Aside from the fact they broke my ears when I saw them at Veterans stadium...I cant see how you can hate them ....I can see not liking them a bit or not caring for the music ..but why hate them ?

Overrated? They're just a fun, simple band. Kiss, on the other hand, just plain sucks.

I guess I am fairly insulated ..as I dont even rate them..and pay no attention to whats rated or not..I just put on some sounds and if I like them ..its cool..there's just way too much music out there in all different styles..(I was listening to willie friggin Nelson..last night..a bit wasted but still..)

Black Sabbath and Pantera rock the shit out of both of those bands... and how are they remembered? Not by their music, but by a dead guitarist and a singer who'd be better off dead. :(

I have to be toasted to watch Pantera live and cant listen to them recorded...BUT Sabbath ...they were Great with OZZY and I listen to those recordings...but I have seen them live and they are VERY inconsistent...its a crapshoot as to what your going to get performance wise with that bunch .

I saw Irion maiden and they reminded me of a spoof band ..:D It didnt help I was partying on the bus with them before and after the show ....this WAS spinal tap...only the drummer just threw up he didnt die ...

Well, you gave me my first new reason to hate AC/DC in quite a long time.

I'm so sick of people telling me I MUST like this shitty band and that steaming pile of hypocrisy just provides new reasons.

On the plus side, that blogger is fairly good writer by all appearances.

I may go to Ozz fest...my son is getting too much into rap and I want to bring him back from the dark side...:D

I'm not so big on Ozzy. Tony Iommi is my hero though. That last minute of "Black Sabbath" on vinyl, blasting through a pair of vintage Kenwoods... one of the best moments of my life.

I wouldn't know anything about their live show, though... I wan't even alive back then.

And as for rap... meh. Depends on how much you listen to it, and what you listen to. If he's listening to the crap that's coming out nowadays, though, beat him.

Lock him in the basement with KISS albums playing on a loop for a few days...then the beasty boys...then some frank sinatra...he'll run away after and join the mooneys for sure ...:D

Nah, they were just different with Bon Scott. Back in Black is a classic, and perhaps the best album they ever put out.

AC/DC are okay. If you want Rock 'n' Roll that totally floors you, listen to Husker Du. Bob Mould's a far better guitarist than Angus Young ever will be, and his insane chords (complete with the use of his thumb for fretting) and song structure show this. Plus, he fricking sings while playing. And he does it well.

Oh, and if straight-up Rock 'n' Roll is your thing, the Sex Pistols do it best. AC/DC have nothing on them.

You do realise that Husker Du and the Pistols are punk....not rock. Somehow though I suspect the differentiation will escape you.

AC/DC is an alright band. I can enjoy many of their songs, while others suck big balls. Although that is true of many bands.

But whoever said Metallica sucks needs their taste in music examined.

My first concert was AC/DC. I think the tour was called "Money Talks" (?)
