NSwiki hates everyone these days. :(

All I can do is try to get on at a time when fewer people are online. That helps a little.

Yea I have alot of friends who roleplay on NS, and let me tell you they use NS Wiki and they fume about it just about every freaking day. Does anyone know why it does that? I know its a free service but does that break down to being poor coding or server overload or what?

Low Bandwidth is my guess.

Guess it can't take more than 5 people visiting the site at once.

NSwiki was started by a student with a limited budget, and yeah, he paid for a fairly low bandwidth package. I don't think he expected it to be the rousing success that it became (NSwiki currently has 15,840 pages!), and he currently has (I'm guessing) neither time nor budget to move it to a better host.

It's a private, free resource. If it bugs you that much, start your own and offer it to us. There's enough traffic to justify several wikis (in fact, at least one region has a dedicated wiki for its forum members). Just don't call it NSwiki. Goobergunch owns that name.

Every half hour or so, the site freezes up completely. Does this happen to anyone else?

that would be us at UDCP.org (or if not us, at least two regions have wikis then, heh)

i could offer to host NSwiki but i'd have to check with some people first. could do it at practically zero cost as i have access to an ISP reseller account with (in theory) unlimited bandwidth and space (though the mysql database would cost about 40 quid a year at least)
