Are you gonna snag a cheap AMD cpu? I mean for what I spent on my 1.8 GHz Opty(in Feb.), I could have gotten a 2.4 GHz x2 4800+.

A relief for my boredom. Though, since the point in time at which this shall be achieved is uncertain, I'm not sure if "looking forward" is the right word.

That, and the weekend, I suppose.

The Monterey Historics-getting paid to go to an event I've paid to go to in the past kicks so much monkey ass it's hard to fathom.

The Super 8mm camera I'm going to buy off eBay when I grow a pair of nads. That and a mule miniDV for log and capture and I can finally start making a fucking demo reel and stop being a lowly PA.

'06 is leaps and bounds ahead of '05... You just have to get used to the QB vision cone. And when you do, you can kick serious ass (you can actually check off Safeties and Cornerbacks!).

I am looking forward to finally getting to college. It will be my first year there, I will start my coursework and hopefully it won't be too hard, and hopefully, I will have time there to pursue some of my own interests as well. However, I recognize that my purpose for going to college is to get an education that will get me employed, I see no reason to waste tens of thousands of dollars to just please myself in the short run.

the end of cheep and abundant energy and the environmental disaster that has resaulted from it. the end of gas strations and with them paved roads and the automobiles. the colapse of monetary economics and an end to human overpopulation.

most of these things i don't expect any good to come out of in my life time
but in envy, bordering on lust, those who will be born AFTER these things have taken place.

i look forward to an ever increasing disenchantment with the private passinger automobile and all that has been so gratuitously destroyed to kiss its tailpile.

i don't know how much of this i can expect to see in my lifetime either.

if people really had to pay the price of their having been made the primary means of transportation when they bought fuel at the pump, maybe more people whould have some slight idea of those real costs. but instead they are hidden in the defacto susidy to the oil and automotive industry in the form of their right of way, as opposed to that of every other mode of transportation, being paid for out of their tax dollars.

i look forward to people getting tired of being lied to an manipulated by economic interests which have no conscounse. i look forward to people waking up and realizing how much we've been stabbing ourselves in the back by using combustion to generate energy and propell transportation.

and that in reality we CAN have both of these things WITHOUT doing so. not, granted, in their most currently familiar forms, but in others as, if not more, convenient and gratifying.

i look forward to trees growing up between the cracks in the road.

i look forward to an end to the tyranny of the dominance of aggressiveness and people waking up and realizing just how much of a tyranny this really is and has been.

i look forward to a lot of things only a fraction of which i expect to see in what remains of my own lifetime.

=^^=

Nothing particularly significant. Halo 3, KotOR 3, CoD 3 (lots of threes here you may note). Umm... a few weeks from now when with any luck my friends will be coming to stay (finally! People I actually like, as opposed to my family). In the more distant future, next year when I can go on CYFA camp again, with aforementioned friends. Still more distant; the day when I can move out and away from family... uuhhh... my gap year... death... that sorta stuff :)

Blue Angels are so awesome!

There's an exhibit of Blue Angels in a flight pattern in a flight museum in Pensecola FL. After its opening, a pilot for the Blue Angels saw it and kept looking at it funny. Finally, the musuem director asked if there was something wrong with how the planes were hung from the ceiling. "The exhibit is fine," he said "It's just that we fly closer together than that." (There could not have been more than 4 feet between the wings!!)

Hope you enjoy them as much as I always do.

Altho, as my bro would be quick to point out, the Blue Angels can't hover.

this week- Saturday, we get to go to dinner with my friend and her husband. She is cooking a 100% gluten free dinner for us, and is even making dairy and gluten free ice cream so that nobody is left out during dessert (hubby can't have dairy :()

this quarter- (yeah, I am dorky and break the year into quarters rather than seasons) the annual hayride and bonfire, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and my birthday (but not in that order)

I live in southern Michigan, about halfway between MFF and AC, so it'll be a good 4-6 hour drive to them both. If Super Smash Brothers Brawl is good, I'll get a Wii. And if a Shadow of the Colossus 2 is made :)
