Scottsbluff, NE vs Cheyenne, WY

Anti-Social Darwinism

I'll be leaving California in a couple of months. I'm thinking about moving to one of the two cities in the title. They're both within an easy driving distance from my son in Denver, but without the expense of Denver or Boulder. So, anyone from the general area, which one would be preferable and why?

Visited both. You really must need to get away from civilization. I like Scottsbluff, Cheyenne is pretty flat, not as much to look at. Is there a reason that you picked these two? If you're retired and really want to get away from people there are lots of small towns with everything you might need and really cheap housing just as close to Denver. Do you have a pilot license? Most people in those areas do. Do you like lakes, etc. or mountains? What are you really looking for? There are some lake areas you might look at.
