Call to power

the way things work Castro’s brother will take power after Castro and nothing will change much as the world makes a habit of doing

But with any luck should anything happen to Castro the country will rapidly become a socialist democracy the blockade will hopefully be lifted and Cuba will have an economic miracle. lets hope for the best:)

I'm sure the Exiles and the U.S. Government are all watching the clock waiting for Fidel to kick it before they can go running back in and start pillaging another banana republic. And despite Western Propaganda, Castro has kept Cuba hoing remarkably well in the face of specifically weighed sanctions and embargoes.

Frankly, the only Bautista I'd like to see large and in charge would be David Bautista.

Currently he's making a film called Norbit. According to IMD it is:

Genre: Comedy / Romance

Plot Outline: A mild-mannered guy (Murphy) who is engaged to a monstrous woman (Murphy) meets the woman of his dreams (Newton), and schemes to find a way to be with her.

Yes and you know what will happen to them? (This comes from the Cubans and not me.) They'll get shot as trators to the revolution and civil war will insse as the Reds and Greens fight it to the end.

And pissing on Castro, for sure.

On the so-called embargo, the only thing left of the so-called embargo are American tourists and American loans and credits, while Cuba receives loans and credits from other nations and trades with most of the world, including buying agriculture products from the USA on a cash as you buy basis.

Over 2 million Canadian, EU and other tourists a year, and Cuban American family remittances which are exchanged by the Cuban government for Cuban Convertible Pesos - CUC money, so those Cuban citizens can buy the products they need in CUC stores.

I thought Sin said that once converted, the convertable peso was the same as the regular peso. It was only the initial exchange (with the large mark up) that made any difference between the two.

And you would think, that being where it is, Cuba would be able to get more than a measly 2 million tourists.

Not to mention a pristine beach.

DM has this rather childlike view of the world really. Either that or just plain uneducated. Afghanistan = wide open terrain in his world view along with various other faux pass. He also would prefer it if bullets in use by US assets in the Middle East were coated in pig grease, a statement which should earn him a lynching from any gun fanatic since such an act would foul the barrel quite badly.

Especially when it starts to go bad.

And of course there's the political implications of giving Bin Ladin and kooks like him "solid evidence" for their consistent claims of a New Crusade and a Western plot to exterminate Muslims. And that will make the Middle East an even bigger mess than it is right now. But when you assume Muslim = Terrorist you don't usually care about the long-term perspective.

P.S. Current signature just shows what a brilliant and insightful mind he really is too :D

We can probably expect the currently excellent Cuban healthcare system to degenerate to that of the US and life expectancy to go down, as it did in Eastern Europe.

Why the hell do you fantasise about war? I swear, it's as if you would be disappointed if Cuba went democratic peacefully.

I bet he still masturbates to the cruise missile shots from desert storm.
