Life on Mars premiered on BBC America last week. So far I've seen the first two episodes and really enjoyed it. I love the music and the 70s cop show feel to it.

For those who haven't seen it, it's about a modern police detective who gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1973. The obvious conclusion is that it is all a coma-dream - but who knows?????

Questions for the Brits here - Do you like it? Is the show popular over there? Is it still in it's first season, or are we way behind here? Is the show holding up or does the novelty wear off quick? Or any other comments...

OK no spoilers but the music gets better and better. I wonder if the US TV self censorship will allow the scene of the rent boy getting off of his knees in the nightclub. ;)

I'm eagerly awaiting series 2 here in the UK. It is being made in Manchester as we type!

Yeah I watched the whole first series. The implication was that there would be a second, but I haven't heard any news of it yet. I too really enjoyed it, but I'm not sure it was really that popular (I never heard anyone talk about it or anything).
