After the blunder with the original XBox controller, they came out with the S, which was great. Now this XBox 360 controller is pretty good too.

The ones for the 360 are so much better to hold and use than the Sony ones though, especially for the analogue sticks.

After Nintendo screwed up with the N64 controller IMO (why the fuck was the analogue stick in the midlle, such a pain to hold), they've made em sooo much better for playing with the Xbox and 360.

Fair enough, i'm loathe to go back to the PS2 now though. I never really liked its controller as the sticks were in the wrong place. 360 is a superior controller for me.

Yes, 360 is better than xbox. But I've never been a fan of analog sticks on either controller. I avoid them if I can.. The 360 uses the sticks too damn much while with PS2 it's not essential.

I haven't been extremely happy with any controller for a while. As a youngun I loved the N64 controller, but the PS2 controller never caught me. I hated the original XBox controller, and regularly called it 'a worthless cheeseburger'. The S controller is alright, but I've come to really like the 360 controller, it's very enjoyable to use.

I never liked the PSX controllers. The fact that Sony has used the same controller for three consoles, and the fact that they seriously tried to sell the banana, tells me a lot about their controller-designing abilities.

Now if only people will realize that for the Wii.

The hell? The original x-box controller was one of the best. It was HUGE and my hands could snuggle in it. Then those bastards we're like, "WE SUCK! LETS MAKE DUMB CONTROLLERS!" and made them smaller.

Seriously, the Dreamcast controller was fairly small, but can fit anyone's hand. It also has everything (except the D-pad which isn't widley used) at your fingertips. It's much better than the crap Nintendo has cranked out with.

I did like my DC, the tamagotchi in a controller idea was genius (at the time). For me the 360 controller works perfectly, the old xbox controllers never felt right. The black and white buttons on the S controller were badly sized and positioned and the original xbox controller needed a warehouse of it's own to live in!

PS2 controller is far too small for me and the analogue sticks are too close together. Until I find something which feels more comfortable it's 360 controller all the way! :)

Er, I hope you weren't holding your left hand on the far-left side of the controller to use your thumb on the analogue stick... You're supposed to hold the center prong. It's a very good controller when used properly.

I hate PS2 controllers. They are much too small. They kill my thumbs, because they are bent the whole time. The need to move the buttons so that I can straighten my thumbs for a bit. Xbox, on the other hand, had nice controllers. My thumbs are bent a bit, then they are stright for a bit. My joins don't get stiff from being in the same position the whole time. However, as crappy as the system was, the Gamecube had the best controllers. They conform to the hand, and all that nice junk.

My friend just got a 360, I hope it is an improvement on the allready good Xbox controller.

As for all the PS3 banana controller bashing. I would have preferred it. It would allow me to move my hands to a place of relative comfort.

The 360 controller is easy to hold and use. Things are properly placed but I have one controller where changing the batteries is a pain in the ass.

In my opinion all the sixth-generation controllers were pretty much the same, except the PS2 still had the D-pad taking up valuable space. Everyone has their analog sticks where the thumb already rests, but Sony continues to hold out.

Why do you hate the Wii-mote so much? Everyone hated Wind Waker before it came out, admittedly some still do but alot of people (myself included) realised that you have to play a game like that to realise how good it is. I reckon the Wii will be the same.

It uses batteries, hopefully Nintendo won't overlook that. Nintendo have been using Li ion cells in everything lately, maybe Microsoft should take a hint (hopefully Nintendo do as well, if they don't it makes me look like a hypocrite)

Playing games is all about fucking your joints up and hurting your thumbs. It just wouldn't be the same if that didn't happen. PS3 controllers look fucking good and I can't wait to hold on to those sexy long.. arm... handle.. things. Just awesome.

The GameCube has the controller that feels best in my hand. The Playstation controller tends to give me hand cramps after prolonged use, and I always tend to press the wrong button.

I look forward to trying the Wii controller.

No, there are at least three of us. It doesn't beat the 6-button Megadrive/Genesis pad, but Second Best Controller's not a bad accolade.

I really liked the original xbox one, before they shrunk it. it was chunky and had weight to it. nowadays controllers are too flimsy. I use a PS2 controller with the PC but il get a xbox 360 one when I can be arsed. PS2 ones are ok but not very ergonomic.

That controller design was scrapped. The PS3 controller now looks a lot like the older DualShock controllers (Sony were never very big on innovation).
