.
PC Ian Fielding thought he had it all. A highly respected police officer, decorated for bravery, his achievements broadcast to the nation on TV. A promotion to an elite unit in his grasp. A party thrown in his honour by colleagues.
Yet unknown to him, with each drink, he slipped further and further into the Twilight Zone...
Imagine a night when your career and standing reach their peak...
...and then you do something stupid and piss it all away.
No job, no friends, no respect, a criminal conviction, and your own family could even turn their backs on you.
This is what happened to one decorated British police officer who on the night of a promotion, got drunk at a party thrown in his honour, drove and crashed his car, went back to the police station, stole a police car, drove to the crash scene to try to tow his car away, got spotted by colleagues, drove off and ended up arrested after a chase.
Everything he had. Gone. Nothing but emptiness ahead.

Wow.
This is poetic justice at its most hideous.
