Well, I work in the receiving division at a department store... so its mostly oldies that they play over the PA system there. Gets pretty repetitive.

I don't listen to music at work as the comps we have are terminals that access a mainframe, and having an iPod with you sort of makes it hard to listen to people.

Depends which day. When I bring in music, it's similar to what I listen to at home: punk and metal. I sometimes listen to milder stuff at home but not at work as I want the energy from the less mild stuff.

I worked for Kay Bee Toystore one Christmas when I was 17. I stayed two days and disappeared the third. No notice or anything. This is a major reason why:

anything heavy, or fast tempo.

Preferably Sabbath, or something similiar.

If Im really needing something fast and heavy, Slayer, or Sepultra.
But generally, thats the heaviest music I listen to.

I drive a truck so no computer to play my Mp3s, no CD player and no tape deck.
I do have FM so I listen mostly to NPR(National Public Radio), for Music I listen to WRIF 101.1.
They also have a streaming feed online

http://www.wrif.com/listenlive/

Sometimes they are great and sometimes they suck balls.

Unfortuantely Sepultura is only played late at night. Rise.

I don't have a Shitpod, so I don't listen to any music while I work. Most of the houses I clean have their TV's on, though.

I deliver pizzas, so I listen to Triple J Radio (http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/) on my car stereo.

Have a listen, you can do so over the web (just click the "listen (http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/listen/default.htm)" link, then choose a stream on the right). Best radio station on the planet.

Everything that isn't popular yet. Pretty much every genre, but usually not mainstream.

Add to that some truly excellent journalism on the "Hack" program (with 56k you won't be able to get the podcasts either :( ) and the fact that they are more or less the foundation for all Australian music (not the pop-crap, but you know what I mean...Wolfmother is their latest creation), and you have an awesome package.

That's my favorite!

The first time the chorus line comes in... That's the best shit ever.
