Yeah, what could feel better than tearing through a barrier of tissue while the girl you're with cringes in pain? :D

Pardon me for my ignorance, but I was under the impression that if it hurt like hell, you're doing it wrong. Or are you just figuring that most males haven't yet unpacked the meaning of the terms "lube" and "foreplay"?

I was under the impression that if you've taken the time to warm the woman up and have made sure that you're slick, then she should be at worst uncomfortable, not in agony.

I've posted one last try. If he comes back with more hoo-hah about how feminists are failures because patriarchy still exists, I'm just gonna let him spin his wheels alone. I just can't manage to give a shit if yet another privaledged middle class male decides feminism is a failure...boo hoo hoo, the feminists haven't given me enough presents! When will somebody, somewhere, think of MEN for a change! :)

Did you notice when he complained that the pendulum has swung the other way? Apparently, this is a matriarchy. I bet you didn't know that. George Bush will be happy to find out he's a woman along with the majority of CEO's and religious leaders.

The majority of our cultural, religious, financial and political leaders are all men, by a far cry, but that matriarchy, it's tricky.

The hyman isn't not about lube and foreplay. The hyman is a patch of flesh that you must break in order to have sex (in normally-developed women who have not already broken it). You must tear it. Think of that word, TEAR. How uncomfortable/agonizing it is varies by woman, but it's not a pleasant sensation by any stretch of the imagination.

Gotcha. Anyway, sorry to take it down this path. Proceed with the raging debate over the meaning of feminism.

Which is why my friends encourage women to be athletically active. Horseback riding and other rough sports have taken care of that little issue for many of them.

Or so I've heard. I haven't found myself in a position yet to determine if riding did the trick.

The thing is, I tend to dislike people who think it "feels best" when their partner is uncomfortable or in pain.

If somebody prefers virgins for some moral or personal reason, that's one thing. But for somebody to say that it "feels better" means that they prefer to feel a hymen breaking. It's not about "tightness," no matter what anybody tells you, because a typical woman (who has not given birth) is going to be as "tight" after a week of abstaining from sex as she was when she was a virgin. Hooray for the elasticity of the vagina!

She might feel tighter her first few times because, if uncomfortable or nervous, she is likely to clamp her muscles. Of course, that goes back to the, "I like it when she's uncomfortable..."

Yeah, some women luck out and either break their hymen early in life, or simply don't have much of one to begin with.

And, in case anybody is wondering, you CAN have your doctor take a look during one of your normal physical exams, and this is not considered weird or gross for you to do. The doctor can tell you what shape your hymen is in.

If you are really concerned about it, or if you find that your hymen is very thick or very extensive, you can also ask your doctor whether it might be a good idea to have it cut surgically. A friend of mine was a swimmer who wanted to use tampons so she could still swim during her period, but her hymen would not allow her to insert tampons, so her doctor broke her hymen using a local numbing agent.

Pretty much, yeah. Since any woman can clench those muscles, and it doesn't require her to be uncomfortable or scared.

Some women require serious exercise before you can even feel her clench them.

That said, many women do keep themselves well toned down there, and are quite capable of expelling anything inserted.

And, in the case of such women, you won't feel any more "tightness" if they're clenched in fear than if they're clenched in pleasure. So my point still stands.

Instead of buying sex by giving a girl a ring, buy her chastity with one! Because the best way to teach girls healthy sexuality is to teach them that their sexuality should be bought with jewelry!

:) I luv fundies.

Not arguing your point - just pointing out that "flaccid" isn't an adjective that applies only to men.

This is true. The only hitch is that being "flaccid" is often favorable for a woman during sex, while the same can almost never be said for men. Many women experience pain or discomfort if they are not "flaccid" during sex, and some couples can't even manage penetration unless the woman is completely relaxed. And, on the other hand, some women don't really feel like sex is very interesting for them unless they clench something or flex something down there.

That's the best thing about having a partner who you really like and really trust: you can monkey around with this sort of thing! Try different stuff, and talk to each other as you flex things...if you can still find breath to talk, that is. :)
