depends whether the poll is serious. if the funny option is funny enough though i'll vote for that whether it's supposed to be serious or not.

Good answer! That's probably what I do too, but, you know, subconsciously.

You didn't need to add a "No" option. All you needed were the "Yes" and "Pancakes!" options - anyone who votes "Pancakes!" is voting "No".

Actually, Pancakes is probably closer to "Heck no!", come to think of it...

But if "Pancakes!" means "No," isn't that a serious answer?

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. It all depends on what reality you're in...

"I don't want to be around crazy people!"
"Oh, you can't help that. We're all crazy here. I'm crazy, you're crazy..."
"Why do you say that I'm crazy?"
"You must be crazy, or you wouldn't be here!"

(poorly quoted from Lewis Carroll)

Which is why "Pancakes!" had to be a seperate answer ;)

Depends on what the poll is. I wouldn't go referencing it as a source if thats what you mean. Now pancakes are an entirely different matter..hmmmm:)

Why can't I vote for yes and pancakes!?
Because "Pancakes!" transcends the traditional values of "Yes" and "No."

I hate all his movies because they all have the same plot. First, the bad guys think he's dead but he really isn't and then he kicks their asses. Soo predictable

The probability that I will take a poll seriously is directly proportional to the seriousness of the poll, and inversely proportional to my amount of knowledge/beliefs/views/whatever on the subject.

Seriously? Depends how serious the poll is.

Seriously enough to follow the guidance of the "what should I call this dog I found wandering the streets" one, since in re-homing him a popularity contest is just what I needed.

Frivolously enough to not be driven insane by a craving for pancakes right about now :-)

Waffles are far better.
