Umm, apparently bare bums are not allowed on this forum, so you should have checked this with the mods first...

Youtube!

For the benefit of you poor souls with dial-up, here's a spoiler:

The video is a series of pranks involving portapotties. Ten seconds after the door closes, a hydraulic lift raises the roof and lifts the occupant and toilet into the air for all to see. Later in the clip, they take the occupants unexpectedly waterskiing.

I saw that recently.
I think 10 seconds is far too long. If I ever have to use one of those stinking pits, it's because mole's nose and cloth are in direct contact. Thus, I'm laying a cable pretty much as soon as I drop my kex.
Well within the 10 seconds.
They'd be filming me 1/2 way through - not a pleasant experience for me or any passers-by.

I'm surprised and impressed Jap TV can get away with this.

LG - do yourself a favour and YouTube for more Japanese pranks. They have some awesome ones.
Here's another 'Let's embarrass some naked guys". This time in the snow!

Did you ever see that 80's Japanese torture show?
The one where they went out of their way to either scare the contestants shitless or make them suffer.
eg.
Scaring them:
Contestants were shown a pit full of ravenous crocodiles. Slabs of raw meat thrown down to said crocs which tore the meat apart.
Contestants then blindfolded and made to hold onto a greased log hanging over croc pit. Unbeknownst to them, the crocs now safely moved, but sounds of crocs snapping and fighting still audible.
Greased log rolled round and round until they fall off, invariably screaming in absolute terror. One of them vaulted the pit in a single bound, which was easily 10 foot high.

Making them suffer:
Hanging the contestants upside down in the Sahara, surrounded by reflector panels. Then chilli sauce and wasabi forced up their nose. Last one to beg for mercy won.
Another one had them stripped down to their underwear and tied to a table. Dozens of rubber bands tied all over their naked flesh. School girls (what else? this is Japan) then flicked the rubber bands until they cried out.
Only other one I remember had the contestants in Holland in their underwear in winter drinking Heineken. Last one to go to the toilet won.

Great hilarity for the viewer.

They just don't make good quality TV the whole family could enjoy like that anymore.

I remember one clip of kids throwing softballs at a man hanging from some contraption wearing naught but a bullseye over his groin. :)

I had a Japanese flatmate a few years back and he said the show was huge in Japan but was suddenly pulled from the screens.
According to Japanese lore, the reason being was that one contestant actually died during one of their contests.

If true, I have to say that IS the ultimate game show!

I sometimes can't help the impression that LG has simply crossed dimensions and stepped out of the screen during a Japanese gameshow! http://www.studip.uni-goettingen.de/pictures/smile/karate.gif

I know fun when I see it, and apparently, some sick japanese bastards understand the second half of my motto: Disturb the comfortable. :)
