But few people know that on the 8th day, God created the United States Marine Corps.

I have a better one:
A Marine and Sailor are walking down a foreign street, while on shore leave, and they see a small boy playing with dog shit.
The Marine asks the little foreign kid why he is playing with dog shit...
The Kid responds, "Im making a sailor."
The Marine smiles at his sailor buddy, smugly, and says "Why are you making a sailor?"
The kid responds "Cause I dont have enough shit to make a Marine."
