Thats were I go...It is a rip off! 32K for this??? For one they added 5k for the autocad program....because they installed it on their comps, so I paid for something I never got! One guy was issued the wrong book and didn't even get the right one until week 4! I was in class and had a problem printing out something, the instructor fuddled around for 4 seconds, said there was something still wrong and left! I had to fix the problem. The tutoring classes don't always match the online work for that week, the online instructors are not helpful and the tutoring classes are very short. ITT Tech sucks.

It's a good thing I always thought ITT Tech was a crock, eh?

I could have told you that, I never trusted ITT even when I was looking for a tech job. I dont trust Ranken either for that matter. Why would you go to a tech school that costs more than a four year private school? Better to just go to a college that offers the program and get a rounded education.

Your best bet would have been to attend one of the many quality public universities that are all around the US. They're far less expensive than ITT Tech, they carry more prestige than ITT Tech, and they don't charge you for things you don't need.

I'm sure you'll get a number of 'told you so' types chiming in about how poor ITT Tech is. I'm sure you don't need that kind of advice. If it's any consolation, there are screwed up things in every university. In my experience, it's especially bad with registrars and bursars.

They all do, if you watch any of the halftime shows during televised NCAA football games.

I don't have any experience with ITT. I have hired some engineers from DeVry when I needed good men that could work independently on a fairly simple task. I needed more than a technician, but less than a Ph.D. DeVry's education doesn't build a student up to become a first class engineer, but they are very useful at performing routine tasks.

If I had wanted to hire someone to invent cold fusion, I'd have looked for a Georgia Tech grad. At least they already know what cold fusion is not. :)

ITT Tech looks kinda phony to begin with....hopefully my engineering experience at w/e university I go to will be better.

ITT is a diploma mill. Go to a real college (or community college). Hell, it's a shitload cheaper, and probably means more then the piece of paper you'll get from ITT.

Its not a diploma mill, you have to work at it and some of the work isn't easy. I am just unhappy with some of the things, they do have some good instructors and I did learn some things and get a degree....But I most likely won't go back....I wish I had the money to go to USC or UCLA....But I don't.

32k is more money then private schools. Hell, if you're smart enough you can get into a place like Olin or Cooper Union that have no tuition. Even with the tuition raises in Delaware UD isn't much more then 15k a year. 32k for a glorified diploma mill is too damn much.

Yeah, my bachelors and graduate degree came to @$30K at a public school, a UC even. And I lived on campus.

I have a buddy that appeared in a DeVry ad. He was 'Bored Community College Student." On for like a couple seconds.

Yes, but by your own admission it's a ripoff and sucks.

And that's not to mention the accreditation problems (it's not accredited by any regional accrediting body, which will cause problems if you wish to transfer credits). Finally, the DOJ and SEC investigations in 2004 and 2005 should send up a red flag that something's not quite right at ITT.
