During the March Paris riots, I was on a trip there. In my hotel, I was in the middle of them, watching what was happening right outside my window on BBC (since CNN didn't come on much :()
I must say, American and British TV over did it alot. My dad had called me up saying, "Holy shit bro! All hells breaking loose over there!" and I was confused, because it wasn't nearly as bad as CNN and MSNBC or BBC made it out to be.
Granted, it wasn't puny. I'm not trying to down play it, but I wasn't terrified of the event going on literally outside my window. I walked down the streets of Paris at night, and was barely disturbed by it.
What do you think? Did they accurately portray it and Im full of shit? Or do you all think my eye witness account was fairly accurate? Do you even care? lol
