I see what you are trying to say, but you just know that popular culture is always going to celebrate the darker side of human nature. Even back in the earliest days of human civilisation, I bet the songs about making the rivers flow red with the blood of enemy tribes were more popular than the songs about bringing in the harvest.

Just so long as you don't combine them. The grenade/pie combo would be spectacularly messy; and the mined whoopee-cushion simply an exercise in adding insult to injury.

IIRC the Geneva Convention requires that all areas planted with mined whoopee-cushions must be clearly signposted, which is something of a relief, but just leads to fake whoopee-cushion minefields being used as a tactic.
