PARIS — France mobilized Friday to send urgent aid to Lebanon, the Red Cross managed to get relief supplies to the south — and Israel agreed to allow a safe corridor crucial to ensuring that food and medicine reaches those in need.

At least Humanitarian Aide is being allowed through to those in need.

The Humanitarian aide flow has started.

The Humanitarian aide flow has started. Not at least. Finally. The operation has been going on for nine days now and Israel should have started plans for humanitarian aid the day they announced that they would completely cut off Lebanon from the outside world.

The humanitarian aid started flowing earlier, but it was stopped due to Israeli bombing. Let's just hope this gets through...

"Only" about 600.000 internally displaced persons inside Lebanon (not including 100.000 refugees that have left for Syria) in the summertime with little food or water, and a serious lack of medical supplies...

EDIT: These are people displaced due to the current conflict, and the number comes in addition to the thousands of people already displaced prior to 2006 (due to the civil war and such...)
