Nature of Time

I was trying to figure out the nature of time and realized that there are many possibilities. Since there is no way to know for certain which is actually the correct one, the one thing I was interested in is what would the implications of a particular model be. I tend to be partial to the point theory more than any other, just because it allows for drastic changes that could not be explained otherwise.

It's squidgy.

I always imagined it in the shape of Gloria Estefan. You know - squidgy.

O, so squidgy is not one of the possibilities I had considered. What would be the implications though?

It's in a wibbly-wobbly shape of it's own. Unconceivable, mysterious and no-one can work it out - just like me! ;)

It'd be like plasticine. You can shape it however you want, and it comes in lots of different colours.

Yes. Like Gloria.

So the implication of time being squidgy probably means that it would sing like Gloria Estefan if it had a voice :D

If you squeeze it just right you can get some Estafan-esque notes out of it.

I wondered what those noises were. :p

I'm never gonna squeeze time again!

Is there a way of squeezing so I can hear some Pantera???? ;)

Time itself is defined in the moment.

So I chose point.

I suppose that, if you think about it really hard, there is a smidgen of a serious/philosophical question in the OP.

But he really is wrong. Time is pie.

Sorry, no. It's Gloria Estefan or the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.

Quite impressive. It was the first thing that came into my head after reading the first post, though.

I suppose I could accept squidgy if the implication is that time is somewhat malleable depending on what's happening. From a subjective standpoint, the flow of time can be variable, depending on one's level of engagement, so in that sense, squidgy could be a valid interpretation.

Liquid maybe? Fluid and fills any shape/void structure. Ergo no definable shape.

Time is a line that has many curves but the curves are irregular because time flies when you are having fun and it slows down when you aren't.:)

Time flies like an arrow.

You can "make time", "lose track of time", "create time" etc. so I don't see time as a constant.

Pie! Definitely, time is pie! With really tender, flaky crust!:p

The human mind thinks about the future, remembers the past, but exists in an ever-present "now", so I have to go with "point".
