any occasion. Whether it be driving, walking, sleeping, playing (in and out of bed ;) ) whatever it is you do in your day, what is the best music/band for it?

Whether its to set a mood, or describe your state of being.

Right now im looking for music that will ease my passage into a deep sleep. Can anyone help me out here?

Post away! *EDIT* please for the sake of my sanity....

I was thinking of putting on some OK Computer. I have many CDs just dont know which one to choose.

lots of music is good for lots of things. For any occasion, however, Black Sabbath.

To sleep...well, really anyhting soft and preferably mellow...I like Phish to sleep, or the Beatles, or Gomez, or...well...anyone.

Pink floyd is good, too. I just don't listen to them any more.

I don't know how you people sleep with music playing. But then, I'm told I'm a very light sleeper. My neighbor's cat wakes me up when it meows at their door. Which it always does at about 3:30 every morning. Damned cat.

I prefer Burzum or Satyricon as I sleep. ;)

i had cats all throughout my childhood, they dont bother me at all. and if they did, that is what the music was for.

What album is that? I don't recall it...anyway, if you don't like Jay-z, or feel you couldn't sleep with those songs...well, if you have lots of time before you leep, you can always download any of Phish's Live recordings for free at livephish.org.

I just bought this CD, and, sorry, it has nothing to do wth sleep -- although ambient is good for that -- but the CD is not very good ($25). Yet, there is one great tune that is a type of screw work tune. Burn, if you can, Part 2 (band's name) Get Square (tune's name). Good tune for anti-work.

It's not the fact that it's a cat that wakes me up, it's the sound. Music playing, car doors, neighbors opening the doors to their apartments, all of those wake me up. Luckily I live in a quiet enough area where everyone generally goes to bed before me and gets up after me.

Hmmm toughie

When I'm cleaning I like to just stick the radio on and have a bit of wiggle while Im dusting and stuff

Driving I like something a bit heavier

it depends on my mood.. I like all sorts of stuff really, Smashing pumpkins, evenessance, to Pink & Christina... *shrug*

I'm a complex character ;)

I play Cruel angel's thesis (Song) several times a day. I'm trying to learn the words, it'd probably be easier if I spoke the language...

Some combination of Daft Punk, Benny Benassi, Jamiroquai and Weird Al will work for anything.
