You couldn't have picked a shittier location for Israel if you tried. Maybe if it were 50 miles to the east and landlocked perhaps it would be in a worse spot.

That's not a map of the Middle East. That's a misleading map of North Africa and the Middle East.

Seriously, Morocco, Senegal, Algeria part of the Middle East? Whoever made that was either stupid or catered it to the stupid.

I suppose it's kinda like walking into somebody's house with a load of guns, barricading yourself in a room and saying, "Leave me alone, the rest of the house is yours!" That little blue bit shouldn't really be there. It's the usual story of European colonial and and American geopolitical games - the rich white boys from overseas allocating land as they see fit.

Yeah, I missed the -stans to the East. Even sillier that it virtually stretches to the Caucasus.

But it is there and has been for 50 years. A little dose of reality that many forget.

Well, the map doesn't say it, IDF said it. That's okay IDF, we understand that you weren't looking at a real map when you wrote that.

Which is just "creating facts on the ground" during a period in history when decolonisation was one of the defining concepts of international relations. Not something which I view with pride.

That fact pretty much applies to all countries.

Yeah, though by the middle of the 20th century we were supposed to have learnt better.

No. I simply want my country to cease to play a part in the enterprise. Let them make their stand, but not with our backing.

And yet I can get myself in a little trouble by using the arugement that has been used against the US countless times. The UK started it, let them clean up their own mess. :)

We can only hope that it is true love, not just lust masquerading as love. I mean these youngsters, barely out of their teens, insist that they love this picture with all their heart but before you know it they're arguing over the smallest things and whoops, he has a moment of anger and says she's looking a little bigger than normal, is she sure she can still fit into a 56k limit? Then whaddaya know, it turns out another guy's been viewing her, and that he's been enhancing her behind his back, and well... there it is. A beautiful relationship down in flames. They shoulda just stayed friends for a bit, maybe if he'd done a Google image search a few times before getting too involved things woulda been different...

If that's what God does to people he likes, I'd hate to see what he does to those he's not so fond of.

Don't forget the screwy straight lines drawn here and there by some British clerk, and the subsequent "and your family is in charge of Jordan, and the other family is in charge of Saudi Arabia..."

Don't dodge the question. Would you say "I guess they didn't belong there in the first place" if the IDF wiped out all the Jordanians, Syrians, and Palestinians?

Edit: and the question is dodged. Buh bye.
