Are life and death the same? or are they two compleatly different things.
what happens when our corporal body ceases to function?
is there empirical evidance for a soul and if the soul does exist is it the explination for self will and conscious?
is the corporal body just a vessel to help the sould to get to the "other side"
or does the corporal body play a role in an existance after death?

Life is a chemical reaction. As such it won't stop until all available materials are inert.

Now as to wether there's conciousness beyond human life, that's another matter. Not in a real big hurry to find out.

If there is consciousness during human life, it has to go somewhere after human death. I believe its a form of energy that is passed on through other things and creates new life, but thats me.

Conciousness is an artifact of the parrell processing employed by our brains. Once a sufficent number of your brain cells cease to function it fades. It doesn't go anywhere, it just falls below the threshold where it can be considered concious.

Life is what you make of it, death, on the other, well, you really cannot do anything when you're dead. Life itself is the reason to live.

Consiousness after death I would say is irrelevant. Self-awareness would be more of a concern, after all, one can be consious and not know it.

Are life and death the same? or are they two compleatly different things.
My personal belief -- they're part of the same thing -- two points on the life cycle continuum.

what happens when our corporal body ceases to function?
We die. What does that actually mean? Nobody knows for absolute certain. Per above, imo, it means little.

is there empirical evidance for a soul and if the soul does exist is it the explination for self will and conscious?
Every now and then, some people claim they have empirical evidence of the existence of souls. Such evidence (such as apparent lightening of the body at the moment of death) quickly gets debunked by science. I believe that souls exist, but I cannot prove it, so I don't try to convince others.

My personal belief = yes, the soul is the individual identity and accounts for will and consciousness. Other people who believe in souls think differently, however, according to other belief systems.

is the corporal body just a vessel to help the sould to get to the "other side" or does the corporal body play a role in an existance after death?
My personal belief = the corporeal body is a container that the soul uses in this world. I personally don't think it has anything to do with any other worlds or planes of existence or what-have-you.

I'd be interested to hear from people who think it is involved with the afterlife, because I know that point of view exists but I don't really understand it.

o

i find it unlikely

unless we get shiney new bodies. for many many people they would have to share parts of their old bodies with new people who ended up with their recycled atoms
