... ideally about the way we are governed, (i.e. if you were asked to come up with a single piece of legislation to combat an individual prblem that affects your life of that of your immediate community), what would it be?
If you can't think of legislation, i will accept one aspect of life being changed (but be specific, no wishing for everyone to be happy!).

I would like to eliminate the political, religious and cultural fixation with sex.

If people had a healthier, more informed and open knowledge of sex there would less teenaged pregnancies and far less abortions. The sexual orientation labels would vanish. The control and exploitation of women in certain cultures would go away. I can think of a dozen more ways the world would be better if people weren't so fixated on sex.

But if you were only to change the fixation of sex within society's mindset, what about the components of society that wouldn't change. Hard to think of i know, but for example, the way that some of the leaders in making a woman equal in the workplace would have used that fixation in order to help secure the equality they deserve (not claiming all or any individual women here, just saying it must have happened at least once!)
How would the change your proposing have an impact on this and on a woman's standing? it wouldn't necessarily do away with man's egotistiacal ... ness? would it?

It could be argued that it was man's fixation on sex as a 'baby-making' procedure that led to women being held as inequal in the first place.
