So, if you've seen my "Think of the Children!!" thread, you'll know that I'm posting a blog that is sort of based off of it. I'm having trouble thinking of a good beginning, and I want something completely normal to happen, not like getting arrested or something like that. I was going to start out with Ginny (the prtoagonist) school shopping with her mom, but it wouldn't work out as a beginning. Any ideas...?

I don't need names for characters. I've got all my names picked out. :D

as for the "normal" beginning, why dont you have a "normal" day, so the reader can be aquainted with the setting, and knows when the portagonist does something out of the ordinary.

Like, Ginny sitting at home, reading/playing on computer, and the school supply lists come?

Yeah, that could work. Honestly though, you've got to include 'The List' somewhere in the book. Actually, why not have Ginny walking around town (before curfew) and describe what she sees?
