i find myself playing less and less games and being further away from knowing about new releases and news of the industry.

i have bought new games that just kind of sit on my computer desk and i dont get around to playing them. i bought civ 4 a couple months ago and was kind of psyched about playing it when i bought it. but the box is still sealed and sitting on the end of my computer desk.

there are many other games i have done pretty much the same thing with.

i have also lost interest in the mainstream video games as the mainstream video games have a completely different fell to them then the games i played and got used to growing up

at times i feel that i have not left the games, but the games have left me

anyone else of similar experiences

I dont think its really becoming a "non gamer" in my experience its just that all the new games are the same as the old ones, just prettier. Find a game that you love and play it for a while. should recharge your gaming batteries.

Ever since MMOs started coming out I buy very very few games anymore, never any single player exclusive games.

At one point you just start buying more of what you know you like instead of what everyone says they like, or is being touted by the media, or is the next big thing, etc.

You also find that you like to spend more time with a few games making it hard to start playing new ones.

It's quality gaming, I think.

I have come to the point where the only games i have fun playing anymore are my old NES and SNES games. i try these new ones, they're fun , but just never the same as the oldies.

the other thing is im only 23 and i think this.....is that sad?
