I saw the movie yesterday and tonight I woke up to a very powerful thought.
I will share it with you as soon as I'm sure it won't show up on mouseover. :)
The last thing I want to do is spoil someone's movie experience.
I have to get this out, but the wifey is sleeping and she really doesn't care much anyway. :p

I do. Here goes: I heard Tia Dalma's voice in my head when she was describing Davy Jones' vexing. WHen she said, "It was a woman" and I got to thinking... What woman? In true hollywood style, it would be a woman we've met. Not likely. The only two major characters who are women are Elizabeth and Tia Dalma herself. It would explain how she knows so much about it, but she really didn't seem personally affected by it.
So... I thought that since it's not a woman in the movie, maybe it's the mother of someone in the movie... Someone like... Jack Sparrow's mother?
If Jack was the spawn of Mr. Sparrow(to be portrayed in the third film by Keith Richards) and Davy's main squeeze, it would certainly explain Jack's bargaining power and Davy's interest in his soul. Afterall, Jack would have to be pretty valuable to coax the Black Pearl out of him. 100 souls was Jack's fetching price.
