If one were to marry a British royal, are they in the line of succession or do you have to be blood related?
Nah, marriage doesn't get you in.
Why?

If you married some one like William, you would be his queen when he is king but you lose your title when he is dead and your eldest child would be the head.

fraid not, you will have to come up with another feindish plan

Wich is why Queen Elizabeths mother didnt become the ruler of England after her husband died.
It passed to his daughter, Queen Elizabeth II.

No they are not, think they are called "regents" or something like that.

a regent is someone looking after the throne until the next monarch comes of age, or while the current monarch is unable to rule (eg being mad)

In that case, the plan is thus: marry a royal, kill the rest of the royal family, and keep your wife hopped up on goofballs. You'll be King in all but name.
And hopefully the police aren't monitoring this site, or I can probably expect a brush with the long arm of the law. ;)

OR you could revolt, sieze the power and claim yourself king!

No one in the entire universe understands how the British royal family works, cause they seem to make it up as they go along.

I note that this was ALSO the case with Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, so....

When the Queen marries, her husband is called a Prince, when a King marries his wife is called a Queen. I think. Maybe.

Women who marry Kings become Queens.
Men who marry Queens become Princes, because (I imagine) if they were King they would have more authority than her, or something. Under old rules of stuff.
If one were to marry a British royal, are they in the line of succession or do you have to be blood related?
But why marry one of them. I know they are loved by the Public but well their marragies are a tad strange and rarely work out.

There's a joke in there somewhere, I know it. :p
And their marriages aren't that much stranger than anyone else's, it's just that the Royals get to have their domestic traumas documented in the press.

NO.
But on a related note: The King and the House of Lords need to assert their pre-ordained role in governing the nation.

Napoleon III's wife was called Eugenie, but she was an Empress, not a Queen, so the rhyme wasn't there.

An Act of Parliament prohibits a Catholic from asserting the throne.
