me and a friend were having a debate over what it is. I think its just a scramjet bullet with gases in the barrel, but he says it uses explosions just behind the bullet to make it go faster. Dont bother quoting wikipedia, it basicly says both our opinions...

They're a hypothetical weapon from science fiction, and hence you would expect contradictionary definitions to be floating around as people combine the concepts of scramjets and weaponry.

It's quite simple. You aim the cannon at someone, you fire it, and it shoots out a giant piece of paper labeled 'Get Out of Here Before I Start Using a Real Cannon'. It gets its name both from that and the fact that the sound it makes on firing sounds like 'Scram!'

I will guess!

It is a cannon that uses rounds with propellant in, contained within sabots so that they can fly further from being lighter, whilst fitting in the barrel.

Other than that, a weapon which fires a flag that says "GTFO" would fit the name.
