Well it is fishing season up here in Alaska. Real fishing not sitting on a bank with a pole trying to catch something. Today I hauled in near 10,000 lbs of Alaskan Salmon. It was essentially a rollercoaster ride while typing a novel while someone hoses you down with smelly dirty cold water and occasionally one of your arms is used to pull you on the ride. I think that sums up the difficulty. Just curious if anyone can top this. I didn't think the fish would hit so hard. No warning just bam...filled the nets to half capacity. Worst off...is that worse is on the horizon. The fish aren't even yet all the way. Pain...

I work when the Fishery Service allows us too. They base the amount of time on how many fish have escaped to spawn so that we will have another generation of fish. Usually 10-12 hours spots but sometimes when the fish are really coming in above projections 72 hours...for me it is broken up by the tides. We go out on High and Ebb Tides...basically anytime it isn't low tide. Cause all the nets are in thick soft grey mud then.

He actually went? Good. That would be good for everyone if that were the case. Like i said, for whatever reason, this time he was extremely civilized and didn't apparently feel the need to start kicking cars and cursing and flinging spit globs and other characteristics of refinement.

Nope no Psychos the boss has a bad leg so he isn't able to help nearly as much as would be benificial. I don't know what deal you are talking about. We get about 1.10 a lb if that is what you are asking.

That, and your buyers. You know, the season's sucked royal schlong so far except for one river and the halibut. Even KSRM's commercials admit as much.

We sell to a nice old guy who pays about 10 cents over what others offer. So we won't do to bad financially I may clear 1500 bucks this summer...if no more fish show up. Today I made 500 bucks.

Im thinking one big one. It wasnt able to get up the stream so they caught him.

Salmon here get up to around 5lbs on average....you just have to take them from the net which they insiduously twist themselves in.

I puked at work today.

I walked around aimlessly on the backroads of the country before getting terribly dehydrated, slowly paced myself back home and downed 1 Litre of Brisk Iced Tea.

That stuff is refreshing.
