What is your favourite Star Wars character?

I think my favourite has to be Anakin Skywalker, before he turned to the dark side.

Anakin Skywalker:http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Anakin_Skywalker

I like him because he looks just so cool and they way he fights; he is so relaxed, confident and he knows what he is doing.

I'm a big Jabba fan. He never has to leave his seat, he has women dancing around for him all the time, lots of cash, and a giant monster to feed people to.

Yup. Jabba's the man.

I'm thinking probably Exar Kun. That dude was badass.

Or, from the movies, Darth Vader. Because Darth vader is the shit. ANy movie is good with Darth Vader. I am elling you, take a tragically bad 80's movie, and splice Vader into it, maybe waiting in line for a cup of coffee, and that movie will instantly be the shit.

Its the truth.

Vader, yes. Anakin, no.

"No, I don't need a tray to kill you, for I am Lord Vader. I can kill you with the power of the force. Although I could kill you with a tray if I so chose. For I would hack at your neck with the thin bit until blood flowed on the cantina floor."

Agreed. Luke is a little bitch who turned down immense power.

And I bet Luke listens to whiny emo music. Or maybe jazz fusion. Not that I have anything against jazz fusion...necessarily.

Vader, on the other hand, has to be a fucking metalhead. I mean, really, can you see Vader listening to ANYTHING at all, other than some intense metal?

I agree. I am very much so like anakin... I am very cool and relaxed, but also very arrogant in my own ability to do things. I like him right after he turned to the dark side.. I like the power that flows through him. I find the darkness in his heart very comforting for some reason.

Vader. He was voted either Third or Fourth on the list of all-time movie villains. Nobody beats that. Except the top guys. But the top guys were all deranged psychos. But Vader is cut from a different cloth. He is cool, calculating, and ambitious. He asks Luke to help him overthrow the Emperor. He holds out his hand, stops Han's blaster shots, then pulls the thing and crushes it before sitting down for dinner. Not to mention the biggest curve-ball in movie history: Bad guy is the good guy's father, thought to be dead, but alive and kicking.

My favorite character in Star Wars was whoever was played by Natalie Portman. My favorite part is when the droid ripped off all her clothes and then she fell into the vat of hot space oil. Then she used a sponge to slowly wipe off all that oil from her body while giggling and eating space strawberries.

No i'm afraid I don't like Yoda that much. A reason because in Episode II- Attack of The Clones, one minute he's using a walking stick next minute throws it to the floor and jumps, flips and practically flies around the room.

WTF!

He looks cool though.

Yoda uses the force when he fights, that way he doesn't need the walking stick.

chewey!

i don't need more then one word to answer that. although i wish they would have translated what he was saying or psying or what have you, instead of making like he couldn't or didn't know how to 'talk'.

those ewoks were pretty cool too, even if a bit too cutsie for some tastes.

then of course there's yoda. little old wizzened dried up looking aliens who can kick but when they have too. i mean what could be more killer then that?

yah chewey and yoda. the real heros are the ones nobody ever notices.

the machines were the real stars for me too. excpt c3po who was waaaaaaaaaaaay too damd much of a human in a tin suit to be belivable, let alone nonsickening. although i do appreciate his dry sense of gay humor.

he just wasn't very convincing as an artificialy intelligent machine.

and the r2 unit(s)? i haven't seen any convincing logic behind their exterior design, not that it's specificly illogical, well something more like a lawn tractor with optionaly deployable hydraulic arms for digging, picking and lifting itself over obsticles would have made more sense to me.

and the empire's war mechs? totaly insane. but then in their context that is to be expected, just like bolo's.

(incidently, when i hear the song "one tin solder" bolo's are what i think of)

R2 units were designed to slide smoothly over metal floors. Stuff like that. They have a very stable design. Mostly, though, they were designed to fit into the little things on x-wings. They act as nav-computers, making hyperspace calculations that the x-wing computers cannot handle. And also to perform spot repairs on the x-wings during battle. Thats why they have the various attachments they do.
