A sailor who happened to be an old friend of mine fell overboard off the coast of Japan. they searched for him for a couple of days and then they quite and officially declared him missing at sea.
how did i find out about this? a friend sent me a link from the local news channels from the sailors (and my old) hometown that covered the incident. they were the only ones to cover it. the network news channels wouldnt even touch the story. instead network news channels decide to cover a sotry that there might be a bill that does something about gay marriage in some state or some other over beaten story that they will mention again in five minutes.
im not saying that this is the only story news networks have just left out. i know there are many. but do you think that Network news channels have a different set of news priorities?
at times it seems they are trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill with a subject that no one cared about. and they seem to try and start conflicts off subjects that people wouldnt even give a second look at.
