Does NS General have 'cliques'?
Mikesburg

I noticed in a thread welcoming a new poster on the forum that someone mentioned that they should 'join a clique' and get in on the fun.
I never really thought of it that way until now. I always just post on whatever I find interesting and respond to whoever responds to me. But now that I think about it, there are definitely groups who congregate to the same sort of threads again and again.
There are some who only seem to post on the 'fluff' threads, or some in the economics threads, or some on the 'anti-islam' threads. And then there are a few mega-monolithic old time entities who are everywhere on this forum.
So I guess the question is, if NS General has cliques, what are the divisions, and who are the ringleaders?

One group of people end up in the "popular" crowd, and the rest of us just carry on either not caring, or being disapponted we're not in that group, and most end up in interacting with a section of their own. It's just like being in school, all over again.

Then there are those who watch, occasionally posting every now and again, but maintain an ethereal half-substantianl existence. I'd like to call this "clique" the Jawas. And not only General - all over NS. Where is Peech? I want another thread, maybe it was the Post of Death or whatever, where we gave ourselves titles and then amused ourselves with ridiculously twisted fantasies.
By the way, I was HadesRulesMuch then, which is why I even remember it. I just tried to make a tribute thread to that one, but no one seemed interested.
Get the hell out of here! Hades!!? Where have you been? You and I were so good in that thread. I miss the days of the Kazoo. Sigh.
I cant believe you've been gone so long. Welcome back!:fluffle:
Cannot think of a name

Wrong. You're from quite another clique entirely, but I suppose that depends upon where one stands on certain issues. :D
The "People I think are out to get me" aren't a clique, that's a paranoid delusion...There's a subtle difference...

Czardas, The Noble Men, Lord General Drache, The South Islands, HN Fiddlebottoms, Grainne Malley, Tribes of Longton, and myself were (most of us) all Atharites, a group of Generalites and spammers.

I've been in a few cliques, yes. Most are gone now, and most of them disowned me before fading away, heh.

I don't know of any cliques, but maybe that's because I'm not in the "in" crowd on NS.
I dont know of such either ... I mean there are certian "Followings" but they are not really cliques as they are not an "in" and an out group

Well, my basement isn't flooded, so you're +1 on me so far.
And I have such a shitty memory...I wouldn't be able to remember if I was in a clique, who was with me, etc...which would kind of defeat the whole attempt at cliquiness.

To me, there are atleast two cliques.
There's the first clique:
PM, Glitz, You, WYTYG, CTOAN (eh?), Czardaz.. Smunkee (eh eh?), etc..
You guys are the.. um.. fossil spammer friends. I think.
Then there is the new clique that started to form in the Post of Death thread, and Choose Wisely (Thank you Peech :p):
People in this clique might be people like FD, La Dame, Tweet, Zilam, Grav (ad freak!), BritSter, TBD, me, etc..
I've brought this up long ago in a popularity thread and I think Smunkee kinda understood what I meant.
Really?
Im too new to catch the subtle differences I guess.

Well that first clique was basicly the people I noticed when I had my old nation.. They all seemed to get along and be in the same threads at the same time.
The second one is just who I think sticks close to eachother..

Neither one of us has any authority over the other, if that's what you mean.
We each practice our own particular form of spamcraft with our own particular idioms, but we play so well together.
You should quote me on that.
