Ya, that game sucks. DO NOT play it. I don't even think they support it anymore....

It was a stupid idea for a stupid game based on a stupid concept.
I agree, it seems from all accounts to simply be a glorified chat room.
Stick with the regular Sims, or even better, play another game. Battlefield 2, UT2k4 (2k7 soon), WoW, EverCrack (Everquest) II, etc. There are many much better online games (both MMO and regular online).
